These guys are great. Each time I have taken my car there it's done the same day. They give good educated advice and do great work!

Note: Repeat customer. Today my battery died. I was lightly freaking out because I needed to pick up my son from school and I needed to have the ability to drive for the rest of the day. Andrew did me the biggest solid, fixed my car in record time and I was able to pick my son up, finish work and drive home. Always a great place. I have yet to worry or feel dismissed.

The service and integrity at Flat Black is top notch. I had a very complicated problem where my car wouldn't start in freezing temperatures. Took it to another shop and they first said I needed a new battery, then a new timing belt to fix the problem. I reluctantly agreed and $1500 later my problem still persisted. The problem had nothing to do with the battery or the timing belt. I took the car to Flat Black and they quickly isolated the problem to a faulty wire on the engine wiring harness. Andrew walked me through the process every step of the way with nothing but patience and professionalism. He explained things in exquisite detail, and in ways a lay person could understand. This will be my go-to shop from now on. I highly recommend them.

I was referred to this shop by my old mechanic, who shut down his own business, and I wasn’t disappointed. Andrew and his guys, went over my truck with a fine tooth comb, and identified all the issues I need to address too keep my Old Chevy running, reliable, and smooth, on the road. The repairs made were major, and extensive, but the pricing was very competitive. I like my old truck, and I plan on keeping her on the road for a long time. Now she is running like a top. Andrew and his mechanics are all highly competent and they have always given me quality service, honest advice, and fair prices. Andrew helped me out with a long string of repairs after I purchased a used vehicle that had far more problems than I'd expected - he was sympathetic to my plight and waived the inspection fee for some of the repairs. He also noticed shoddy or incomplete work done by other businesses and advised me to cash in on my warranty to have them fix it. I trust Flat Black over any other automotive repair company I've done business with in Bellingham.
