I went on the recommendation of another person when I was having check engine light and transmission issues. They got me in on my day off and checked out my truck extensively over a couple of hours. They couldn't find what the reason was for the check engine light and couldn't replicate the problems I'd had off and on. They told me to come back when and if the check engine light came back on. They were very good about not charging me for all that time that they invested and they have won my loyalty as a customer for any future issues I have! I highly recommend them as an honest shop.

Good, fast, and honest service!

These guys really helped me out when I was traveling through Bellingham and my brake lights went out. Super friendly and helpful explaining to me the work they were doing on my car. The work was done and problem fixed super quickly! Their waiting room was also very clean and they were sweet to my kids and gave them free cookies. Would highly recommend this auto mechanic.

Mike at Flat Black Automotive is great. He explains everything and answers all questions. I never feel rushed! The work is always done on time and I am confident my car is safe and up-to-date. I go back to Flat Black whenever my car needs something.
